Week 7

Last week on wednesday, our class operate as usual.This time our lecturer give us free time to continue doing our upcoming presentation about Tourist Attraction in Malaysia.We were once again divided into groups and each group were give a different subtopic.Each group consist of two students.The presentation will be operate soon along and after chinese new year holiday.

BABA & NYONYA AND EURASIAN COMMUNITY

Today, the presentation of Cultures in Malaysia continues. Syeera and her teammates did their presentation well about Baba and Nyonya. They were explained about the history, traditional foods, music, dance, traditional games, wedding and attires of Baba and Nyonya. 
  

Everyone was focused on their presentation because it was much interesting. The main attraction in Baba and Nyonya's community is traditional dance. There are many types of dance in this culture as an example 'Bakul Sia Dance', 'Bimpoh' which is Handkerchief dance, and Joget Dondang Sayang. Their wedding and the attires of Baba and Nyonya's community also much attracts today's class.

Next is Eurasian People. Maisarah and her teammates did well about Eurasian community. Eurasian was a mixed of Asian and European. Eurasian has began in the late 15th century when Portuguese came to Malacca and has married a Malay woman. It's has four group of Eurasian which is Anglo-Indians, Dutch Burghers, Portuguese Descendants and Mestizos. Eurasian traditional dance was Jingli Nona. Next, Eurasian traditional foods were Curry Devil/Debal, Sugee Cake and Shephard's Pie. For the non-muslim, they married at church and has the step by step. They did their best in elaborated each points and all of us were very proud of them.

WEEK 5

Last wednesday, our class continues with previous chapter's presentation. Naqib and his team was presented about the Chinese culture. They presented a lot of things such as history, foods, games, attire and wedding. They showed us a video about chinese cultural games and dances. In chinese culture there are two types of traditional dances such as dragon and lion dance. 

            What we can learn is, teamwork is important in our life. Without teamwork we can't acheive nothing. Besides that, the Chinese culture's foods was mouth-wathering. It was a interesting presentation made by them. Good job team Naqib and his friends.

              Next, team Maisarah and her friends was present about the Iban culture. Their culture food is much interesting. "Panuh Manok", a kind of food which is cooked in a bamboo, " Cacing laut", and "Siput buluh".They explained about the features of the Iban culture by showing videos. Everyone was did their part very well and clearly.

And lastly, Maisarah was explained about Iban's culture attire

       From this presentation we learned that we must respect every culture so we can live together without any interruptions. 'Together we are strong, divided we fall', this meaningful quote must practices in our daily life because unity in our country is important. 😊
